Inbox Sentinel
Inbox Sentinel watches a small set of mailboxes belonging to its owner, Harry Parmar of Blue Ocean Ventures Inc. It uses AI to sort incoming email, surface what needs his attention, and draft replies. A reply is sent only after he reviews and approves it.
Sentinel is a private, single-user tool. It is not open for public sign-up, and only one authorised account can sign in.
What it does
- Triage: each new email gets a category, an urgency level and a one-line summary. Newsletters and automated mail are filtered out without being sent to AI.
- One control centre: a single dashboard covers every connected mailbox and shows what needs attention now.
- Phone alerts: urgent mail triggers a push notification within about a minute, plus a morning digest.
- Approved replies only: draft replies are written in the owner's voice and sent only after explicit approval, with a 30-second undo, in the original thread and from the original mailbox.
How it uses Google data
With the owner's consent, Sentinel uses the Gmail API with two permissions:
- Read (
gmail.readonly), to detect and triage new inbox mail. - Send (
gmail.send), to send replies the owner has approved.
It never labels, moves, archives or deletes mail. Email bodies are processed in memory and never stored, and data is never used for advertising or to train AI models. Sentinel's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The Privacy Policy has the details.
